Team building that isn't a trust fall. VR, games, and lunch
Team Building in the Age of Immersive Tech
A Tech Week Lunch & Learn at BattleGR
Most teams have more collaboration tools than they know what to do with. That hasn't made them any better at working together.
I've spent over a decade putting groups through team experiences, and I've watched the same thing happen over and over: give people a shared problem and a reason to talk to each other, and you learn more about how that team actually functions in twenty minutes than you would in a year of standups.
I'll spend about 30 minutes over lunch on what makes shared-experience team building work, why free-roam VR does it better than most of what's out there, and how companies are using it for onboarding, offsites, and getting departments that never talk to actually talk.
Then we stop talking and go play.
Bring a small team. Free-roam VR runs in group sessions, so grab up to five coworkers and come as a squad — we'll pair you against another team in the arena. Sign up for your VR time slot at the door when you arrive. Slots are first-come and they go fast, so get there early if the arena's your priority.
Everything else is open all event: laser tag, axe throwing, throw bowling, and cornhole. No sign-up, no waiting — play whatever's open while you wait for your slot.
