Tech Week Kick-Off ft. Stephen Dubner, Freakonomics

The Tech Week Kick-Off event will bring 1000+ of the region’s key business and community leaders together to celebrate the start of Tech Week Grand Rapids. Join us and prepare to be inspired as we welcome our keynote speaker, Stephen Dubner.

Stephen Dubner is an award-winning author, journalist, and radio TV personality. He is best-known as co-author of the Freakonomics book series, which have sold more than 7 million copies in over 40 countries. He is also the host of Freakonomics Radio, which gets 8 million monthly downloads and airs on NPR stations and elsewhere. Dubner has appeared widely on television, including as a regular contributor to ABC News and as host of the NFL Network's Football Freakonomics, which was nominated for an Emmy.

No physical ticket is required upon arrival. Our staff will help you find your name badge, and you'll proceed to the networking area. Each guest will receive one drink ticket valid for beer or wine, and complimentary water and soda will be available at the bar.

Security

All attendees must pass through security checks before entering the venue. To ensure a smooth process, please avoid bringing bags larger than 12"x6"x12", or, if possible, no bag at all. Doors open at 3:00 PM — please arrive early to allow time for parking, security, and registration.

Seating‍

Seating is general admission and first-come, first-served. If you wish to sit with a group, we recommend arriving early. Overflow seating will be available on the mezzanine and second level.
